Research Assistants

Richard Montero
I am a graduate from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies. I am also a current member of the prestigious society Psi Chi (International Honor Society in Psychology). I am currently working as an RBT (Register Behavior Technician) where I practice a type of therapy called ABA, to individuals with developmental disabilities like ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I am now part of the team of research assistants that form the MUTT Lab, in where I hope I gain research and clinical experience in mental health to strengthen my application for graduate school and hopefully get accepted into a clinical psychology program. I was born in Cuba but came to Miami when I was 11years old. In my free time I enjoy watching soccer and being with my family and friends.

Cathrina Saint-Hubert
My name is Cathrina Saint-Hubert, and I am a 22-year-old FIU postgraduate, with a BA in psychology. I currently am a senior research assistant here in the MUTT Lab, and my primary role is to assist in the YESS and SMILE projects. I also work as a Registered Behavioral Technicial (RBT), working with kids with Autism under careful supervision of a BCBA. With both the clinical and research experience I am gaining, I hope to eventually apply to graduate school to pursue my dreams of attaining a P.hd in clinical psychology . In my free time, I enjoy drawing and taking digicam photos of nature.

Lucia Gimenez
My name is Lucia Gimenez, and I am a 20-year-old undergraduate psychology student who is concentrating in industrial organizational psychology and minoring in business. Although my family is from Argentina and I am of Spanish descent, I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I ride horses in my free time, and I visit various South Florida coffee shops. Ultimately, I joined the MUTT lab with the intention of learning more about technology's impact on adolescents who fight with anxiety and depression. It is critical, in my opinion, to understand how effective these gadgets may be in assisting people with mental health given technology is becoming more and more widely accessible in society. To better comprehend corporate management study findings, my long-term and current goals are to obtain a PhD in I/O psychology.
